Alastair founded AM Directory Outsourcing in 2021. He advises law firms on matter and referee selection and drafts their directory submissions.
He prepares materials for UK, European, EMEA, US, global, high-net-worth, litigation services and other guides. His experience covers more than 100 directory sections. These run from acquisition finance, private equity and international arbitration to pensions, private wealth disputes and human rights, and include niche sections such as aquaculture, art and cultural property, litigation funding and costs.
Alastair began his career in 2006 as a researcher and writer at Chambers & Partners. Since then he has:
developed the directory research and publishing arm at Centellic, introducing the IAM Patent 1000 and WTR 1000 series
led firmwide directory projects and training at Bird & Bird
held business development roles at Clifford Chance, Baker Botts, Slaughter and May and Macfarlanes.
